Welcome
A 469 acre site of breathtaking woodland and countryside located between Glasgow and Edinburgh near the town of Carnwath.
This site has approved planning permission for a £100 million plus leisure complex which would mean turning the existing moorland into an international sports, entertainment, and holiday centre. South Lanarkshire Council believed the development was important to the local economy creating 750 new jobs in Clydesdale and bringing millions of pounds of tourist spending to the area.
Local Councillor, Rev Bev Gauld said, “He was delighted at the basic proposals, stating that as a local councilor, he could only welcome the prospect of 750 new jobs coming to his ward and economically benefitting Clydesdale as a whole”. He went onto say that South Lanarkshire Council planning officers seemed to share his enthusiasm for the scheme and was sure that it could and should finally become a reality.
